March 08 E n j oy every seconds !!H e L L o ! Yes, yes, yes, Texas was snowing AGAIN yesterday (Thursday) !! It was around 3 pm when it started to snow. I'm still in class, Communication Application class. // It was Miss Kraemer (Com Apps' teacher) who let us know that it was snowing outsides // Bell, with a full thirst of excitement, went out of the classroom without delay. (the first one who stepped out of class!) No matter how cold the weather was , Bell absolutely enjoys playing with snow ! It looked so pretty! White, white, white, everything is coverep up with WHITE ! Let's imagine how pretty it is ! But, as you know, I'm in Texas !! So, it started to snow at 3.00 pm and finished at 6.00 pm. Oh man, 3 hours snowing ! ~ More crazy, it is both snowing and raining during those hours. So, basically it's kind of slushy , gloomy and whatever ... All in all, I have such a really great time the whole day ! (Do you know what? It's really icy at noon. And, not more than 3 hours, it started to snow ! Let's imagine how cool it is !) Even Texans, they are also excited as well since it's rarely snowing in TX. My mom told me that it's a lot harder to drive in snow. Many accidents occur during these times. (Texas' snow is kind of icy !! , make it more tough to drive !) Yesterday, I enjoyed playing with snow both school and home. I talked with my school principal about how excited I was. (He knows that I'm an exchange student from Thailand. I talk with him almost every day ! It's kind of fun hanging out with the school principal !! ) *He is one of the kindest adult I have ever talked with ! At home, I also played snow with my siblings, AMANDA and TAYLOR. We were having a good time playing "snowball fighting" together. I was outdoors without gloves throwing snowball.... I kept playing outsides until I feel like my hand is so frozen that I can't feel anything. That's kinda crazy, i know. But, I try to spend time with snow as much as I could as I know really well that how little the possibility is to snow in TX ! Okay, I feel glad that I survive without getting any fever ! Lucky of me ... **** Snowing twice during this weekday is not the only exciting thing, there are still some more stuffs going on ... *On Wednesday, I didn't go to school till 12.15 pm as we have an ELA TAKS test at school (it's kind of like o-net and a-net in Thailand which requires for High school graduation. But, the difference is TAKS test in an unlimited-time test. So, students can take it as long as they could. :) Because of TAKS test day, I didn't get up till 8.30 am. Such a late time ! *On Thursday, I also got another Honor Pin from Dr.Dean (School Principal) as I gain all A's in every single class last semester. So, it's the third honor pin I have got so far. (I will get the forth one soon as I also got all A's again in 4th six-week grades !) ( I finished my 6th-weeks grade with a hundred average in Management class, I'm so glad !!) * I feel like I wanna be an advertising manager somehow - I love creative stuffs - I love writing persuading stuffs - I'm pretty good at management class - I will be RICH ! ( I do the research, advertising manager gain 70,000 dollars at least per year !! - It's also one of the most well-paid job in the US. Most important, it's CHALLENGING !! * On Friday, it's 1950's day !! (it's a school activity !) - I dressed up to school with a really girly girl look ! - I weared dress and put my hair down * I look so pretty !! (like a barbie !) I will send you guys photos soon ! I have another name my friends call "Barbie ! ") ***** /// This weekend, I'm busy again ! - I will go to Forthworth ( a cowboy city) to visit museums) * It will be fun, fun and fun again ! * It will be shiny, but COLD tomorrow. ( like 39 F degree) //// On Monday, I will have a field trip to Dallas Mavricks' Game !! (Mavrick's a very popular basketball team in the US !! This coming Monday, I will go see the real NBA ! - I go with DECA club - I will be absent half day at school - I will see ' behind the scene ' of the NBA !! I can't wait now !! How fun ! Bell  YouAlso, God You all too .. ** I'm pretty much busy during this week. (again !) ( That's me, a busy girl !) Several things goin' on .... I just went to "ASH Wednesday Worship Service" @ church ... Have you got any ideas what it is ??? 10 .. 9 .. 8 .. 7 ... 6 .. 5 ... 4 .. 3 ...2 ...1 Time's up ! No more time to think. ASH wednesday is an important day for Chirstian lives. It represents " 40 days " before Easter ! Of course, this is my first ASH wednesday. I went to Bendwood Trail Presbyterain Church, the church i go to every Sundays ... On that day, the worship service is pretty much different from the other days. We gotta write down something on a paper that kind of cut off our relationship with God. When we finished writing down, we brought that paper to a bowl in front of the chapel. Then, Harry, the Pastor, burn all the papers we wrote down. That meant all the obstacles we faced were no longer alive. From then on, everything is gonna be better and the BEST. ---------------------------- I am still so excited about what I have done during the past week. Alright, here is what i have done !! ( I wanna tell you guys .... so, you will be excited like me !! , may be more though ... hahaha) --------------------------- On Monday, I'm going to bed early. I'm in bed at 8.45 pm. I'm a well-behaved child. Everybody in the family got in bed early today ! (actually, i got some homework left which due on Wednesday. But , I kind of like LAZY ! So, just get over it ... !!!!! ) On Tuesday, ... Oh man, I got a US history test tomorrow , over chapter 17-18. Totally, it's about 70 pages in the textbook. However, that doesn't take me so much time to finish it up. I spent time just 2 hours ... kind of reasonable !! Go to bed around 11.00 pm ! Not much late, huh ?? On Wednesday, After i'm back from school, I played basketball with Taylor, my brother. We try to beat our last high score. ... Eventually, we cannot beat it as we are kind of really exhausted ! Too bad ! Then, around 7.00 , we went to the church for Ash Wed. As soon as I'm back home ,I started on doing my homework. U h h ... I got ta write a paper again ! This one is so hard... I got ta write a topic related to "My Lai Court Marshal" which is one of an American famous trial. I'm a prosecutor ..... It took me forever to finish it .... If you wanna see what I wrote, just see the attachment ! .... On Thursday, kind of whatever today, watching TV .... Finish some homework, like Math. On Friday, I went to Ovilla , another town located in Southern TX for Amanda's Basketball game. We all family didn't come back home till 10.30 pm I'm so much tired ... --------------------- Weekend !! Sat : 9.00 am : getting up 10.00 am: unloading the dishwasher + rincing the recycles 11.00 am: go to Taylor's Basketball game 12.00 am: having lunch with family at Fire house Sub ! 2.00 pm : hanging out with friends at the mall (Collin Creek) - I got a new jacket ( $15) , belt ( $9) , two new shirts ( totally $20) It's my first time go shopping for clothes. I hung out with Elisa (Italian friend) , Agathe (French freind) and Praew (friend from Thailand) ( we both speak in English, even we are Thai) !!! 6.00 pm: back home then, keep on watchin' movies Sun: 7.20 am: getting up 8.20 am : going to the church * today, at church, it's a really special day as the youth group at church have a Valentine's day Fundraiser. I helped cooking Pasta with meatball and sauce. I also made salad with ranch sauce. It's so fun !! I love it ! 2.00 pm: back home 2.15 pm: We ,the whole family went outside going sightseeing ! (Mom and Dad looked for " Open House" to pick up some ideas to renovate the house !) We didn't be back home till 5.00 pm) Home: Me and Taylor cleaned up the yard. We are helping dad to clean up all the leaves on it. !! Then, I helped mom vacuuming the kitchen, breakfast room and laundry room. Of course, I don't forget to vacuum my room !! Oh ... I forget to tell you that ... I got a Hershey's chocolate box and Valentine's card from grandmother. It's really nice of her ! I love you, grandmother !! ------------------- This may be enough for what has been going on this week. I know that it's a long e-mail again. Next time, it will be longer... no, just kidding. That means the month of Love, February, has also come by ... Do you know what ?? There are so many people were born in this fabulous February. ( I dunno how to spell her name) 's B-day Feb 17 th -- Leslie's B-day Feb 18th-- Danielle's B-day Feb 25 th--Audra B-day Feb 26 th--Ashley's B-day Feb 27 th -- ... ( i dunno how to spell his name) one of my friend in Chemistry class B-day Anyway, the most important DAY of all is " FEBRUARY 17" since a very important person was born... Do you know who that person is ?? Keep thinking !! Is it President George Bush ?? Is it Tony Blair's B-day ?? Can you figure it out ?? If not, I will be mad at you for sure since that person is the one who is writing this crazy e-mail ... hahaha Of course, it's me !! Oh man, I'm excited ??? Oh man, I'm seeing our big world 17 years already !!! Can't you believe ?? Mark your CALENDER for this most important DAY ever. ( hahaha :) ) -------------------------- Last weekend, I had a really great time again. I just went out of town to Sherman, another city located upnorth TX. I went for a SHYC, senior high Youth convention which is kinda like a Christian retreat camp. It is in Austin College, Sherman. A bunch of Youth Christians went there, may be around 500 people !! Isn't that big number ?? For me, it is .... I make so many friends there... It's unbelievable. Anyway, i still remember that nothing is impossible with GOD. So, this is not unbelievable ... The theme of this camp is " Between the Trees " God creates the tree at the beginning and the ends. The tree represent our lives. Our lives are not always easy. During the path, you may have to struggle with so many obstacles both good and bad. However, please remember that we are not alone. We are truly loved by God. He is always on our side. You ARE NOT ALONE !! ( everytime you have problem, please remember that God is staying beside you and He is leading you to the BEST way ) ---------------------------- I love the theme of this camp. I love all the activities provided, included "Energizers", " Small Group Discussion " and " Interest Group" ( I am so extremely active that I dance too much, resulting in pain all over my body now !!! ) I love all my friends I meet. They are a really good kids doing everything in honor of GOD. Most importantly, I Love my AWESOME God . Thank you God for a really wonderful time at SHYC. How is your days ?? Are you having so much fun ?? Of course, I do have a really great time during this weekend. I just went back from an AFS Mid-year Orientation camp which was held 2 days , one night at a YMCA camp !! I had met so many new friends who are not in the same chapter (ex. friends from Oklahoma ) ----------- We are doing a skid, kind of like role play, together. Do you know what?? I got an overwhleming cheering and hilarious laugh when I was acting. It was one of my most wonderful time. "You Rock!" one of my friend wrote this word down on my book. Thank you, Laura, my friend -- friend 4 ever !!!! ---------- The temperature is kind of warmer over the weekend. However, at the time we were at camp, I still felt freezing cold, instead of smoking hot ! :) ---------- My goal for the rest of my exchange student year is " trying to imitate American Accent" Of course, it may be hard as I left just 5 months. Anyway, I will try my best. Learn hard, play hard ! I promise !!! ---------- I grab a whole bunch of photos from the camp. It's wonderful time with wonderful friends !! I will keep in mind for good ! ---------- I still have a lot of homework to get done. I might need to leave now !! Talk to you guys later, Bye Bell January 18 Y e a H h h .... eventually, I finished my final exam !!Y a H o O ! I have already finished taking my FINAL EXAM ! I finished the last one at the time about 10.50 am. Isn't that early ??? Actually, I don't feel like I have BIG TESTs during this week at all as I still do the same routines like any other days. ( except, I just grab the textbook for reviewing some materials more often !!) I just have lunch ! I cooked "Pasta" by myself. ( Fortunately, it's not burnt ! hahaha) It's one of my most favorite dishes. I love " noodle" food -- like Spaghetti, Pasta and the like ! --------------- Wow, I can't believe that I am nearly reaching the half way of being exchange student. "The time flies so fast " is what I realize. I am now doing really fine both home and school. ----------------- I forgot to tell you guys one thing. !! ON Jan 4 th, it was "Amanda's birthday" (she is my host sister) Normally, we don't talk to each other much and we are not that much closed. Anyway, it was a really wonderful time on that day. I made her a birthday card written " Amanda, a birthday surprise especially for you It does not come in a box and it was not a brand new. It's a birthday blessing with love to you from me Hope this is one of many brighter days you'll ever see May GOd's special blessing touch your heart in every way Not only on your birthday but every single day Love you, Bell" I also gave her 2 gifts from Thailand. They are a white scarf and a really cute elephant key chain. She unwrapped my gift for the first one. Then ,she read the card. I came over sittting next to her. After she's done reading, I hugged her and said " I love you, Amanda" She hugged me back .... I still remember this moment of time rigidly. It's one of the most wonderful time ! Sweet ! ~ Up to this point of time, I feel that the more time I spend a living as an American teenager, the more good experience I got and the more I learn about my self. As I said earlier, I am now doing really fine both home and school. I feel that I have become one part of the family. My Family is the BEST !! Mom and dad took care of me really well. As mom know that I love "tomotoes", she bought me cups of 'creamy tomato soup' to try. Of course, it's so delicious. She is gonna buy me others more ! ( She bougth "tangerines" for me too during these weeks) I always play with Taylor , my host brother, after I am back from school. "Bell, would you like to beat high score?" my brother asked as he was referring to "basketball". "sure." I replied. We both played together a lot. Taylor also taught me how to play "pool" ( kind of like snooker) Of course, he always beat me. ~ ha ha ha ------------------ The only word I could described my family is "AWESOME" We are the AWESOME family !! ------------------ From This weekend, there will be lots of things going on ..... This Friday night and Saturday morning, I will have a "lock-in" at the church. It's like the YOUTH GROUP are doing some fun activities together while sleeping over at the church. It will be lots of fun ! On Jan 25-Jan 26, next week, I will have an AFS Mid-Year orientation. I will sleep over at the YMCA! I'm looking forward to this event. There, I will meet other exchange student friends. FUN FUN FUN !!! At the beginning of FEB, one week after that, I am having a christian camp ,kind of like 'retreat' I am gonna go to Austin, TX! It was a 2-3 day camp ! I can't wait !! Then, on FEB 16, AFS organized a trip to "FORthworth, TX " for free. I will be there ! Of course, on FEB 17 , the most important day !! It is my sweet BIRTH DAY !! I'm gonna turn 17 on FEB 17 !! I'm gettin' old now ~ hahaha It is on Sunday too. I am so glad that I start my life with GOD as our family normally go to the church on SUnday morning. I really welcome HIM to convey my days, not only on the Birthday, but every single day !! -------------- MY resolution this year is 'reading "Our Daily Bread" and "the holy Bible" every night before going to bed. Anyway, I wanna confess that there are 2 days I din't do. They are the days I was busy on writing essays -- last week. However, I keep on doing now!! Since I spend some time getting closed wtih GOD, my life is a lot better and easier. He blesses me . He teaches me . He stays with me every single day. I am doing every thing on the honor of my dear FATHER.... I acheived every thing because of HIS kindness...and HIS love .... |
