Yes, yes, yes, Texas was snowing AGAIN yesterday (Thursday) !!
 
It was around 3 pm when it started to snow.
I'm still in class, Communication Application class.
// It was Miss Kraemer (Com Apps' teacher) who let us know that it was snowing outsides //
Bell, with a full thirst of excitement, went out of  the classroom without delay. (the first one who stepped out of class!)
No matter how cold the weather was  , Bell absolutely enjoys playing with snow !
It looked so pretty! White, white, white, everything is coverep up with WHITE !
 
Let's imagine how pretty it is !
 
 
But, as you know, I'm in Texas !!
So, it started to snow at 3.00 pm and finished at 6.00 pm.
 
Oh man, 3 hours snowing ! ~
More crazy, it is both snowing and raining during those hours. So, basically it's kind of slushy , gloomy and whatever ...
All in all, I have such a really great time the whole day !
 
(Do you know what? It's really icy at noon. And, not more than 3 hours, it started to snow !
 Let's imagine how cool it is !)
 
Even Texans, they are also excited as well since it's rarely snowing in TX.
My mom told me that it's a lot harder to drive in snow. Many accidents occur during these times.
(Texas' snow is kind of icy !! , make it more tough to drive !)
 
Yesterday, I enjoyed playing with snow both school and home.
I talked with my school principal about how excited I was.
(He knows that I'm an exchange student from Thailand. I talk with him almost every day ! It's kind of fun hanging out with the school principal !! )
 
*He is one of the kindest adult I have ever talked with !
 
At home, I also played snow with my siblings, AMANDA and TAYLOR.
We were having a good time playing "snowball fighting" together.
I was outdoors without gloves throwing snowball....
I kept playing outsides until I feel like my hand is so frozen that I can't feel anything.
 
That's kinda crazy, i know.
But, I try to spend time with snow as much as I could as I know really well that how little the possibility is to snow in TX !
 
Okay, I feel glad that I survive without getting any fever !

Snowing twice during this weekday is not the only exciting thing, there are still some more stuffs going on ...
 
*On Wednesday, I didn't go to school till 12.15 pm as we have an ELA TAKS test at school (it's kind of like o-net and a-net in Thailand which requires for High school graduation. But, the difference is TAKS test in an unlimited-time test. So, students can take it as long as they could.  :)
 
Because of TAKS test day, I didn't get up till 8.30 am. Such a late time !
 
*On Thursday, I also got another Honor Pin from Dr.Dean (School Principal) as  I gain all A's in every single class last semester.
So, it's the third honor pin I have got so far.
(I will get the forth one soon as I also got all A's again in 4th six-week grades !)
( I finished my 6th-weeks grade with a hundred average in Management class, I'm so glad !!)
 
* I feel like I wanna be an advertising manager somehow
  - I love creative stuffs
  - I love writing persuading stuffs
  - I'm pretty good at management class
  - I will be RICH !
( I do the research, advertising manager gain 70,000 dollars at least per year !!
  -  It's also one of the most well-paid job in the US.
 
Most important, it's CHALLENGING !!
 
 
* On Friday, it's 1950's day !! (it's a school activity !)
- I dressed up to school with a really girly girl look !
- I weared dress and put my hair down
 
* I look so pretty !! (like a barbie !)

ASH wednesday is an important day for Chirstian lives.
It represents " 40 days " before Easter !
 
Of course, this is my first ASH wednesday.
I went to Bendwood Trail Presbyterain Church, the church i go to every Sundays ...
On that day, the worship service is pretty much different from the other days.
 
We gotta write down something on a paper that kind of cut off our relationship with God.
When we finished writing down, we brought that paper to a bowl in front of the chapel.
Then, Harry, the Pastor, burn all the papers we wrote down.
 
That meant all the obstacles we faced were no longer alive.
 
From then on, everything is gonna be better and the BEST.

I am still so excited about what I have done during the past week.

On Monday, I'm going to bed early.
I'm in bed at 8.45 pm.
I'm a well-behaved child. Everybody in the family got in bed early today !
(actually, i got some homework left which due on Wednesday. But , I kind of like LAZY ! So, just get over it ... !!!!! )
 
On Tuesday, ...
Oh man, I got a US history test tomorrow , over chapter 17-18.
Totally, it's about 70 pages in the textbook.
However, that doesn't take me so much time to finish it up.
I spent time just 2 hours ... kind of reasonable !!
Go to bed around 11.00 pm !
Not much late, huh ??
 
On Wednesday,
After i'm back from school, I played basketball with Taylor, my brother.
We try to beat our last high score. ...
Eventually, we cannot beat it as we are kind of really exhausted !
Too bad !
 
Then, around 7.00 , we went to the church for Ash Wed.
As soon as I'm back home ,I started on doing my homework.
U h h ... I got ta write a paper again !
This one is so hard... I got ta write a topic related to "My Lai Court Marshal" which is one of an American famous trial.
I'm a prosecutor .....
It took me forever to finish it ....

I went to Ovilla , another town located in Southern TX for Amanda's Basketball game.

It's my first time go shopping for clothes.
I hung out with Elisa (Italian friend) , Agathe (French freind) and Praew (friend from Thailand)
( we both speak in English, even we are Thai) !!!

then, keep on watchin' movies

8.20 am : going to the church
* today, at church, it's a really special day as the youth group at church have a Valentine's day Fundraiser.
 I helped cooking Pasta with meatball and sauce.
I also made salad with ranch sauce.
It's so fun !!
 I love it !
2.00 pm: back home
2.15 pm: We ,the whole family went outside going sightseeing !
(Mom and Dad looked for " Open House" to pick up some ideas to renovate the house !)
We didn't be back home till 5.00 pm)
 
Home: Me and Taylor cleaned up the yard. We are helping dad to clean up all the leaves on it. !!
          Then, I helped mom vacuuming the kitchen, breakfast room and laundry room.
Of course, I don't forget to vacuum my room !!
 
Oh ... I forget to tell you that ...
I got a Hershey's chocolate box and Valentine's card from grandmother.
It's really nice of her !

Last weekend, I had a really great time again.
I just went out of town to Sherman, another city located upnorth TX.
I went for a SHYC, senior high Youth convention which is kinda like a Christian retreat camp.
It is in Austin College, Sherman.
A bunch of Youth Christians went there, may be around 500 people !! Isn't that big number ?? For me, it is ....
 
I make so many friends there...
It's unbelievable.
Anyway, i still remember that nothing is impossible with GOD. So, this is not unbelievable ...
The theme of this camp is " Between the Trees "
 
God creates the tree at the beginning and the ends.
The tree represent our lives.
Our lives are not always easy.
During the path, you may have to struggle with so many obstacles both good and bad.
However, please remember that we are not alone.
We are truly loved by God.
He is always on our side.
 
You ARE NOT ALONE !!
( everytime you have problem, please remember that God is staying beside you and He is leading you to the BEST way )

I love all the activities provided, included "Energizers", " Small Group Discussion " and " Interest Group"
( I am so extremely active that I dance too much, resulting in pain all over my body now !!! )
I love all my friends I meet. They are a really good kids doing everything in honor of GOD.

Of course, I do have a really great time during this weekend.
I just went back from an AFS Mid-year Orientation camp which was held 2 days , one night at a YMCA camp !!
I had met so many new friends who are not in the same chapter (ex.  friends from Oklahoma )

We are doing a skid, kind of like role play, together.
 
Do you know what??
I got an overwhleming cheering and hilarious laugh when I was acting.
It was one of my most wonderful time.

How is it going during the week??
I'm now so glad that I have already got recovered from my sickness... (actually, it now just left coughing !)
 
Of course, my school week is really busy !
Every single class has work, like "Final Exam Review". Accordingly, those all became my have-to-do lists real fast!
During the week, I have to write 2 essays, one is for "English" and another is "US History"
 
For English, the topic is "The Importance of Standing up for Your Beliefs"
It took me forever. I spent time at night around 2 or 3 hours finishing rough draft, editing and typing.
Anyway, that is one of my most best-done essays. It turned out to be 4 pages long and have around 1000 words in the essay.
 
It made me feel so surprised as it was the longest essay I have ever written.
It's awesome for me ~~
 
For US History, I need to write about the 1920s and 1930s (the Great Depression). To be honest, that's really hard. I, as well, needed to finish it in class. (I have time just 45 mins to finish a DBQ( kind of like an essay, but a lot harder as we had to add documents to support the ideas we referred to). It's so hard !
 
Anyway, do you know what?
Before beginning writing the DBQ, I prayed to my dearest GOD as I realized that as I found no ways I was able to finish the esay by my own. For my experience, I never finished the essay just in 45 mins !!
 
Of course, God Blessed Me !
I was able to finish the whole DBQ in time( even it's in the last seconds) !!
 
God, thank You for blessing me.

I decided not to begin studying for the exam until Sunday afternoon as I'm still lazy over the week.
( I actually have the exam on Monday in Chemistry and Multimedia )
 
In my opinion, the most hardest class is English !
I will take it on Wednesday. It always contains some complicated vocabularies in it! That's make me confused ~
Multimedia is another hardest one.
 
I have to review what I have learned, like Photoshop, Flash , Audacity and that sort of things.

I actually also have a birthday party this weekend as well. Anyway, I was not able to go as my mom and dad have a dinner.
It would be a busy time on the weekend evening. So, I decided not to go there. !!
 
(I will go to the party for sure if my mom and dad are free, even if I have a Final exam on Monday ! :) )

I just flew back from Breckenridge, Corolado in December 26th !! ~
I really had a great time there. Do you know what? This year, I had a white Christmas. I celebrated Christmas with a bunch of falling snow!!! It's incredibly  wonderful ! The weather is also extremely cold.. I had never reached such a coldest point like this !!!
( It's about 14 F degree on the first day. Then, the other two days , the weather is kind of warmer ( just 24 F degree !! -- below the freezing point --  hahaha ~)
I, at the moment, miss snow and the cold weather really much. The weather here ,in Dallas, is just 45 degree. How different it is !!!
 
Alright, I will tell you guys day by day ... How much fun I have ! Wowww .. .are you excited ???

I am awake at the middle of night around 3.09 am as we are getting ready to go to the airport, Dallas-Ft.worth Airport for our exclusive trip !! To be honest, I, at that time, was very asleep. We flew by Frontier Airline. (Actually, the flight is at 6.30 am !)
The pilot flew so smoothly that I really don't know when we arrived in Denver, Corolado exactly . What I knew was we reached there around 8.15 am ( The time between Corolado and Texas is different 1 hr . !!) (It's 8.15 in Dallas -- 7.15 am in CO)
 
We, then, drived another 2 hour and a half so as to get to our destination, Breckenridge, CO. My lip is really dry. Also, I got very dehydrated. As a result, I needed to get tons of water after we reached the hotel. (That's because of the high attitude) ~
 
Soon after that, we got lunch. I got a quizadella ! It's a Mexican food. Yummy ..yummy !!
 
When we were all full, dad bring me to the ski school where I was gonna spend 2-day lesson learning how to ski !
(We planned to ski 3 days. So, I  took 2-day lesson . The last day, I skiied with my family. The cost is kind of reasonable. Anyway, it's still expensive for me. I paid for $ 192 !!  0_0)
 
The first day I reached there, I was so real impressed. Even though I am not accustomed to the weather, everything is going really fine.
I took a bunch of rest on the first day ... Good night, everybody !

December 23,2007
 
Woww....
I can't wait going skiing. It's my first time skiing in my life. After we had already checked out our ski stuffs yesterday, I was now ready !!!
Today, I wake up around 7.35 am so that I'm ready for the ski lesson (at 9.45 ).
It's kind of chaos in the morning as I don't know how to wear the ski clothes. (They  have a bunch of layers. ( I wear long sleeve, a turtle neck, gloves (mittens), hand liners, 2 pairs of really warm socks and other more !!)
 
My instructor's name is Sean. He is really nice and good at teaching.
I, on the first day, was really in trouble. Skiing was really hard for me. It's kind of extremely fast and adventurous sport. I felt like I was gonna slip at all times. That day, I fell at least 5 times.
 
(Not much , huh ?? )
 
I took the lesson from 9.45 am till 3.45 pm !
(In the afternoon, my fear factor is gradually melted with snow. As a result, it's quite getting better in stead of getting worse ~ !!)
 
That night, I slept so deep as skiing took almost of my energy. See ya !

Merry Christmas's eve !
 
Awesome!! My skiing skill turns out to be really phenomenon today !
What I learned had been applied correctly. Today, I know how to make a right turn and stop.
I am now lost into skiing. I love skiing now !!!
( My skiing speed is gettin' faster and faster ... !! )
I skiied on Green Mountain ( the easiest skiing path) so several times.
( I went there by a ski lift)
 
Then, in the afternoon. I skiied on a Blue Mountain ( the diffcult skiiing path)
 
(Here are the level of skiing path
Green Mountain -- easy
Blue -- difficult
Black --- most difficult
Double black -- extremely difficult
 
I got this by its definition )
 
 
Do you know what? It's so much steep on the Blue. I decided to go there once as soon as I found how steep it was)
I am so glad that I survive on Blue !!! (it's a lot faster and scarier than Green) It's bump, bump and bump at all times.
So exhausted there !!
 
I, anyway, just fall once today accidentally (and just on Green ) !
I did really great job today.
I felt like I now know how to ski ...
 
It became really fun now !!

Wow,,, I am so glad as I am gonna go skiing with my family. Today, I'm so excited than any other days. The weather is also a lot colder.
Everytime i skiied, there is always tons of snows covered up my eye- glasses.
We also took our family's photos on the top of the mountain. We, then, went down skiing.
 
Today, I skiied with my mom in the morning 2 times. After that, we came to the "Ten Mile Restaurant" for having lunch.
I got Fish n' chip ! ~
 
In the afternoon, I first skiied with mom and Taylor once. Then, mom and taylor decided to quit as the weather is extremely cold today. (Mom's hands got cold). As a result, I continued skiing on my own. (Dad and Amanda did ski on Blue) (I, decided to ski on Green as I felt much more confident. Blue is a lot hard work. We had to put a lot of pressure on our knees to control the ski pads become not too fast .
I just went there once...and figure out how hard it is !
 
I did ski on my own about 7 times in the afternoon. I did a lot of steep skiing.
Dad also watched me skiing by the end of the afternoon. (He is on the ski lift watching me going down a steep.)
 
Do you know what?
I was the last person who came back to the hotel as I found how much I love skiing. Even though the weather is really cold (around 10 F degree, I still continue skiing without any halts !
 
When I am back to the hotel, Dad said
" Bell, I'm proud of you. You did a really awesome job !"
 
Wow, it was heart-breaking time. It made me feel really good. I just got a huge compliment from my dad !!
 
( I got it as it's not easy to learn how to ski .... Some people got in trouble learning how to ski as it was quite dangerous sport !!)
 
On the third day, I never fall !
 
Wow,, I now missed skiing really much. Can we invent fake snow in Thailand ???

This year, I got a bunch of christmas gifts from Santa ( that 's my mom and dad)
They gave me a holy bible (that makes me cry !!), an colorful address book, wind charm written "Texas" and a bunch of snacks
 
 
I had really great Christmas. It's always fun ---

Also, I just unwrapped all christmas gifts from my teachers and friends. They are really cool.
One of my teachers, she wroted me a card. Here are what she wrote ...

R o c k ! n g  * on Christmas !
 
"December" may be my most favorite month of all times.
In the US, it's very awesome. It's the month filled up with happiness and joy.
 
Do you know what?
In December 1st, there is a Christmas parade in Downtown Dallas. Anyway, I just watched it on the TV. It's very cool! There are a bunch of people along the street watching the parade. Every faces are covered up with smiles and blast of laughter. It's really impressive ....
 
As I told you earlier that I was gonna go to "Dallas Symphony Orchestra - Beethoven 9th", I have already gone there !
 
It's my first time , as you may know !
 
I got the seat at the front row! (which is kind of expensive -34 dollars ( it's been discounted 50 % off from 68 dollars !) Anyway, it's not much good as it's kind of too close. As a result, what I saw was just groups of musician playing violin!! However, it still caught my attention throughout the performance ( 1 hr- and a half) !
 
The conductor at that night was a world well-known one! His name is Andrew ....( I forgot his last name). He conducted without looking at the music note.  He can remember all the notes in his brain ( which I concluded that he was extremely smart!) That was how amazing he was!
 
Dallas symphony Orchestra are a very impressive one -- I lov' it !
(That night, we also had dinner there. It's a little bit x-pensive ( around 16 bucks!)
Anyway, it's very priceless experiece. I enjoy it .... hanging out with a bunch of friends !!

Actually, that afternoon, I also decorated Christmas tree at Grandma's house.  Her christamas tree was so real tall ! It's ten feet tall -- That means taller than me!!
(She paid for her tree around 99 bucks ! Incredible !!)

Then, on Sunday ! It's a very impressive day as well ...
I hung out with my liaison Karen. She picked me up around 7.00 am ( which is a little bit early for me .. hahaha) Then, we went to StarBucks for having a cup of tea with Cranberry cake. It's so delicious. I still miss the taste of it!
 
After that,I went to swim meet ( also known as a swimming competition) as Karen's daugter is one of the competitors). !! It's my first time seeing the real swim meet indoors !
We spent time there from 8.15 till 12.40 am. Quite a long time, isn't it?
 
Then, it's a climax time -- Karen brought me to a Thai restaurant named " Tamarind "
Of course, the owner is also Thai ! Everything in the restaurant are full of Thai stuffs. U know what? They, as well, have Thai TV programmes -- soap operas, games show ! At that time, they are watching Channel 3 .. that's also my favorite programme !!
 
I had a big meal at the lunch time as usual *
I had ...
- Pad Thai (which is a little bit different. There is some sauce on it tooo ... Anyway, it's so delicious. It made me think how tasty it is at the time I was staying Thailand.)
- Yum Woonsen (Wow, that's so awesome. It's not hot or spicy at all which is really suitable for me as I am not good at eating spicy food !! ... As well, it's a little bit weird as there are some shrimps and squids in Yum Woonsen ??? Weird !)

I had very great time with my liaison. She is not good, but she is the BEST !!

Then, after that, I had a party at Steven's home in MCkinney (another city in TX). Steven, he is my bible teacher at the church. Actually, On Sunday's evenings  I normally go to the church for Youth Group activities (from 5.00 pm-7.00 pm every week!) This week, the activity is a party held at Steven's ! It's really fun ... I had a karaoke too !!

Then, I went back home and watched the movies with my host family !!

Hi, everybody !!
 
How are you doing, guys? Are you busy during this cool weekend? For me, of course ,it's kind of incredibly busy !! I just went out of town(Plano,TX) to visit Lexington , World War 2 ship in Corpus Christie, TX. Taking a trip there may be one of the most impressive experiences ever. I am now lost in Corpus Chistie. !! Actually, Corpus Chistie might probably be the southest city in TX. Anyway, i am not sure ! I just know that my dad spent almost 8 hours to reach there. I have very great time with my host family. We spent nights doing some cool stuffs together. I love this period of time !! :) It will be deeply stuck on my mind for good !!

On Friday, we departed from Plano where we live around 2.30 pm Then, we got to Carrolton to pick up Stacy(my mom's friends) and Christopher(her son) as they also come to join our trip. I just get to know Stacy from this trip. She is a very very very nice lady. I still miss her now !!
So, we actually departed from the town around 3.30 or 3.45 pm.
Then, we passed downtown Dallas, Waco, Temple, Austin, San Antonio and many mores that I can not remember ! We stopped for dinner at Temple. This city is so much cool as I can hear sounds of birds throughout the time having dinner outdoors at MC Donald ..  After that, it's getting darker and darker. We also watched the movies in the car too. We have seen Rudy, Tom Sawyer and others on the way to Lexington !! At night, all the cities are dramatically fantastic as they are turning several lights on. U know what? I have already seen the State Capital of Texas for the first time here. State Capital is the office where all Texas government works. It's located in Austin, TX. I saw a bunch of "Skylines" !! I saw IMAX, a 3-D movie theatre in Austin too. I am now also deeply lost into this cool cities. San Antonio is a big city where the past battles in TX located. (ex. Alamode?) .....
 
Okay then, we reached Corpus Chritie around 11.45 pm or 12.00 pm. I am pretty asleep at that time. No energy anymore!! We spend a night in Richardson, a hotel near a gulf of Mexico ( or we can say " Corpus Christie Bay" -- My dad said that it was the same thing !!) U know what ? It's my first time visiting the Gulf of Mexico !! How cool it is ! Anyway, i think the Gulf is not as pretty as Thailand's sea. The water is kind of green , instead of light blue !! Anyhow, it's still cool in my eyes :)
 
We spent a night in the hotel. Then, in the morning we have to check out so as to be ready for the Lexinton tour. (Actually, Lexington ship is pretty near to our hotel. We just took time about 5 mins to get there !)
 
Alright, on Saturday, we spent all of our time in Lexington ship. Now, we are on board! U know what? Lexington is one of the most famous US warship. It's been used duirng the WW2. It was built by women and took time over 10 years to finish it. (Actually, we use pronoun "She" for the ship which i really don't know why ?)  Lexington also has a nickname as"The Blue Ghost" ! At night, u will see the bright blue widespread the ship. !
 
There, I live as a navy lady. Sleeping in the same bunk that ww2 navies slept. Using the same tables, shower and bathrooms !
 
U know what? In the ship, she also has a church, post office, pharmacy, dentist, nurse, surgery room, x-ray room and research too ! How cool it is!!
 
I also know the meaning of American flags. Seeing the first American flag which is different from what we see nowadays ! It used to be just only 13 white-red stripes which means there are only 13 states in the past before the US was gaining territories and become a powerful country nowadays !
 
NAVY , is also an abbreviation for
"Never again volunteer yourselves"
I just knew from that day. U just know for the first time, don't you?
 
In the ship, there are also warplanes too. Do you know Tomcat -14 ? It's also located here too. I took a bunch of photos there, may be at least 150 pictures. So, you can imagine how cool it is!
 
As spending a night in WW2 ship, it makes me know why American became the most influence country in the world. Everybody desperately dedicated himself to his own country. I am also impressed the time the US nation songs beginning, everybody puts his hands over his chest and sings the nation songs loundly. It makes me so impressive that i can not even explain ! I am now lost into US nation's song too !! i try to be able to sing the nation song. Anyway, it's kind of freaking hard  +_+
 
I eat the same way navy man eat, most of the food are carbohydrates !!
 
To sum up, i have very very very great time at Lexington, Corpus Chirtie. It will deeply be stuck on my mind forever ... until i have chance to back there again.

Hi,everybody !!!
 
Yesterday( October 13, 2007)  I had a homecoming dance at my school. Homecoming is a kind of ball where you can go there either by hanging out with friends or going by your date. For me, i went there with my groups of friends. I dressed in gorgeous gold dress with jewellery necklace. Also, there is a gold scarf wrapped over my shoulder. It might probably be my first time wearing such a elegant dress like that....
It's so much pretty !! Yesterday night, I am a cinderella Bell !!
Now, I would like to send you guys photos, however, I can not send to you due to Hotmail problems or something. Do you know any ways I can send you photos without by Hotmail or Myspace?
 
During the past week, I had pretty loads of fun activities. On Monday, I had a meeting at Student Congress. I am working on Health and Safety community !
On Wednesday, I skipped the classes !! Just Kidding !!
I had to leave school early that day since the fourth period ( around 12.45 am) becase I had a school trip to American Airline Stadium (The second biggest stadium in the US) to see a ICE-HOCKEY GAME!!! in Dallas,TX. I went there on behalf of DECA club's member. DECA is a very large club in the US. So, I met loads of new friends there who are also in DECA in other schools.
 
Actually, the ice-hockey game started at 7.30 pm but DECA went there early to see behind the scene of American Airlines Stadium. I learned how they sell the tickets, how they manage the Dallas Stars team(ice hockey team of Dallas, The Best !!)? or even how expensive the suite rooms in the stadium are! You know what? We had to pay for at least 3200 $ to get a suite room.
However, I just pay for 15 $. As a result, my seat is very far-sighted from the ice court !!
 
You know what? I met JIm CARRY there too. He is a very very POPULAR actor. He is pretty cute too !! However, I did not take any photos of him as I did not know that that man I saw at the ice court is JIM CARRY.
 
How lucky I am !!
Paid for 15 $ , but you can see a Hollywood star and see behind the scene of AA stadium !!
 
In homecoming night, I went there from 8.00 pm to 11.45 pm. I danced all night and took loads of pictures. I have to pay 18$ for the ticket and 25$ for my single picture. As well, I had to pay $30 for a MUM( a big flower you wear at the homecoming game). Mum is a kind of decorating stuff you put on your clothes . Homecoming is a special festival related to football game. We also had to vote for Homecoming KING and Queen.
My school had the homecoming game with BERKNER, we won !!
Homecoming KIng at my school is DAVID .... ( He is  the school band's president)
Whereas the homecoming queen is  Drill team captain, but I can't remember her name.

Don't be surprised if you saw my score as 68 or 70 percent on English and US History class. To tell you the truth, this two class are absolutely hard for me at the first couple weeks. As a result, I did not do well on the quizzes and tests.   However, the evaluation system here is absolutely different from Thailand. All of the scores are counted in percent at all times. So, the scores that you saw have already been interpreted in percentage.   As a result, the score 68 or 70 don't mean I can do the quiz 68 questions from 100 questions at all. In contrast, the quizzes seem to  have 15 questions and I can answer 9 questions from all  Accordingly, i got 68 percent.  !!!   That is not bad for the first couple weeks, isn't it ??   ---------   However, all of you don't be worried for my class in English and US history now as I got wonderful scores on my first six week's test as shown above .   English, I got 90 percent and US History, I got 90 percent too. (and the last quiz on US History, I got a 100 , that means I did not miss any questions which makes me so glad and proud !!! ) I can overcome it !!! Wow !!! I have been studying in this schoool for 5 weeks already !!! AWESOMe !!
Today ( Friday), at my school , we had a Pep Rally !!!
 
Pepp Rally is like an activities for cheering school's football team. We always have Pep Rally whenever the football games are Home game. Almost of the students(may be more than 2500 people) are in the gym holding a sign written "Plano Wildcats" , yielding for the school team and singing Fight Songs. I love the moment in the gym very very very much. It seems like all students show their spirits to their school. We sing and yield as loudly as we could !!

I took a lot of photos today. Today, as well, all of the students are wearing Maroon Shirt. As a result, wherever you go, you will see everybody in Maroon Shirt to show their SCHool's spirits.!!
 
Actually,every Fridays, I always wear Maroon Shirt as I found that when i wear it, it provides me lots of encouragement to fight everything and anything in the world !!!

As I mention earlier, this is my fifth week at school !!
I have met many new friends during this week as I attend in Student Congress !!
 
On Monday, I had a first meeting. I am placed in Health and Safety community in this Congress. I love participating in this Congress. I think that there are at least 50 people there !!
 
There are many Asian students in this congress as well.
As a result, it provides me  lots of chance to make friends.
 
This week, i am less busy !!

Wednesday evening-- Bible Study at church ( at 6.30-8.30)

Friday--American Football game !!
 
This schedule is not busy at all for me .

Last weekend(Saturday and Sunday 21, 22 Sept.), I had two parties. Both of them are birthday parties. One is my AFS friend's birthday party. Whereas another one is Grace(friend at school)'s birth day party. I have a lot of fun there.
On Saturday, I went to AFS friend's home in Richardson, another city. It's very awesome !!
I went there from 7.00-11.00 pm
I love it !!
 
On Sunday, I went to Dave&Buster where Grace's party are held. Dave&Buster is like a place which loads of games. ( Like Lasvegus...). There, from earning 585 tickets which come from playing various game, I have got 1 free teddy bear. It's my first teddy bear here. I hug it every night since I have received it !!!  I have a lot of fun there too.
 
I am pretty busy, aren't I ???

Now, at school, I found that I love multimedia class so much as it's very challenging for me.
However, I feel absolutely bored in Math class as it seems too easy for me.
I have learned about function as I have finished learning it in Thailand.

Hi, everybody !!!
 
This is may be a month at school! I can adapt myself better than the first couple weeks. However, my language is still my obstacles to catch up the lessons and make friends.
 
I just receive student progress report from school which show student's grade. I am very very very glad as I did quite a good job in all subjects. These are all my average grades at the first three weeks.
 
Chemistry -- 100 /100
( I am very glad !! . Actually, it's pretty hard at the first week as my teacher provides lots of video learnings which I can not understand. However, next 2 weeks, it loads of lab and the materials I have learned before. So, it's pretty easy !!
( on the test, I also got a 100 too!!)
 
Algebra -- 95/100
It's pretty well!
Today, I also have a test on function unit. There are 2 parts in this test, one requires "calculator". Whereas another ones is" non-calculator part" . I think that I did well on non-cal part. But for cal. part, it's pretty hard. I just make a guess !
My point this time might a little bit bad ~!
 
English 3 -- 98/100
I am very glad as well. It's really over my expectation. In this subject, I have to read at least 4 novels per semester. I have already finished one--Glass Castle. Now, I am reading " Kite Runner" . I have to take a long time to finish reading it. However, I now become a reading lover ....
( I also have to write a lot of essays, may be at least 1 essay per week !!!)
 
Sports and Entertainment Marketing -- 96/100
This subject is pretty easy and have a lot of fun.
We have to do a lot of teamwork projects !!
 
Career Studies -- 99/100
This subject is pretty easy as well. Nothing is hard !!
Next week, I will learn how to make a resume !!
 
US History -- 89/100
This subject is still hard for me.
Actually, I did not do very well on the quizzes and tests. However, I try hard on the homework and all assignments, so my grade is becoming pretty wonderful !!
( Test -- I got 84/100 and last two quizzes are 11/15 and 9/15) !!
 
Multimedia -- My score is not shown !!!
This subject is very very very hard as I am not good at computing !!!
I always ask for help everytime in the class. !!

Hi, everybody !!
 
 
This is my third week in school. I have made a contact with a load of friends. I just knew that at my school, there is another Thai student. My chinese friend introduce me to him. First, I think that I am the only Thai in this school. However, it's actually not.
He is senior( 12th grade student) and stay in Plano for a while.
It's pretty funny that I and him have the same lunch time, however, we have never met each other until my chinese friend told me.
He said that actually I can speak Thai with him. However, I talk with him in English, even he speaks Thai to me!!
 
 
During the couples of week , I met a load of friends who are from different countries. They are from India, Korea, China, Burma, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Jordan , Brazil and Germany.
Most of Asians are from Taiwan. They have very large groups ( may be more than 20 people).
At lunch time each day, I have lunch with different groups of friends.Today I have lunch with American friends ( Their names are Grace, Irrean ? and ...( I can not remember another name) !!
Grace is pretty nice. She is interested in me. she once showed me her name which is written in Thai language.
Some day, I had lunch with 3 Chinese friends (I can not remember their names !!!). However, they always talk to each other in Chinese, so I can not understand what they say !!!
I sometimes interrupt them with English. It's pretty funny !!!
I always ask them to speak English, English and English !!!
 
Now, I am a little bit bored at American foods. I have chicken sandwiches or Chicken stripes as my lunch almost every day with freezy drinks ( such as Seven-up, RootBeer, Dr. Peper ....)
Sometimes I have cheese pizza !! The food here are very expensive, I have to pay for 3.25 $ each lunch!!
 
Yesterday, I just receive my score on PSAT test, it's very bad !! I have very low scores. May be the lowest scores I have ever had in my study life. It makes me feel very bad up to now. What should I do ???
 
Talking about study at school, this week is getting easier!!!
Actually today ( Friday 14) , I have a test on US history and three quizzes on Algebra, Chemistry and English !!
However, I spent the whole night time ( since 9.00 pm) to prepare for US history test. I don't have enough time to review Algebra, Chemistry and English at all !!.
 
Anyway, I can do on quizzes pretty well. Hopefully, Materials on chemistry quizzes are what I have learned before, so I think that it's pretty easy !!.
( It's about Elements, Isotopic Notation, mass notation and many more !)
 
I think that at this time, I can do the US history test better. Maybe, I will appreciate my scores at this time , I hope !!

During this week, I have applied for 2 clubs at school which I think I am interested in. Actually, i would like to participate in Tennis and Choir club. But, there is not any 2 clubs at the school.
Accordingly, I attended in DECA club, it's a club of marketing which provides members lots of activities to do, such as baking cookies, Homecoming Parades and marketing competitions among schools !!
 It's pretty cool, isn't it ???
Besides, I also attend in Student Congress at school too. However, I am not sure if I can be a member or not as I have to write one essay to apply for this congress. The members are limited !!!

Besides, tomorrow I will have AFS orientation in Dallas. After that, I will go to the Rodeo. It's my first time again !!
Since i came here, i have loads of activities to do. Every week !
I feel that I don't have enough time at all since the school starts !!

Hi, everybody !
 
Now, I think that I have a big problem on time management.  I have done a lot of activities outside the school. During the past time, I went to parties much more than 5 parties with my host family. Most of them are pool parties, I also met a lot of people there. However, doing a load of acitivities becomes my big problem now. Nowadays, I have to stay up very late every day, may be at least mid night. Because I would like to be good on school and activities. I have a lot of quizzes and test every day, that means I have to study for it. All ot them are very difficult, if I did not study for it, I am gonna fail for sure. I can not catch up the lesson on US history and Chemistry nearly 100 percent. As a result, I have to read a lot on these two subjects. Actually, on Chemistry class, I do not have any textbooks. Consequently, it become extremely hard now! Teacher of chemistry speaks so fast and does not provide student any book! That' a problem...
 
Actually, there is a time after school when student can meet the teachers for tutoring. However, I can not meet the teachers after school because my host mom picks me up 15.30 every day. (my last lesson finishes at 15.19 )
So, I do not have time to meet any teachers on any subjects that I have a big problem.
I can not attend any clubs after school too, because my host mom picks me up at the same time when those clubs start !
 
Now, I am not sure whether i am too concentrate on the study or not. But if I don't study, I will have extremely bad grade. I will not know everything if I do not learn subject's material by reading.
 
I am very tired these days, because each day there is a quiz at least 1 quiz. Some day, there are 3 quizzes and 1 test. All of them are difficult. Besides the quizzes and test, I have a load of assignment too, I have to read English Novel, called the Kite Runner every week as I have at least 3 quizzes on it. 
 
I am gonna die ! I do not have enough sleep !!
What should I do??

On past Friday, I just went to an amusement park called " Six Flags" I have a lot of fun there. I rode the roller coaster for the first time, it's extremely scary !! However, it's my most favorite play !!
Then, I rode Texas Giant, it's really similar to roller coaster. It's very fun too.
I also play Superman which leads us to the top and fall down very quickly. It's extremely scary again !
Another favourite is " Water Riding" , this play I have to stay in a boat,then it wil gradually flow to the top and fall down very fast with high speed. At that time, the water will come to our boat. That makes me got soaked all of my bodies. I play that 3 times.
Actually, I played many more; anyway, I can not remember their names !!
I went to six flag at 6.00 pm and then back home at 1.00 am (It's very late, isn't it !!)
As a result, during these past week , i did not have enough sleep at all.

On Saturday morning, I had to go for a PSAT test, it's very hard. I had skipped more than 15 questions on reading section. It limits time just 25 minutes per each section with 25 question. However, there are 2 parts of reading. I can not understand it well, it contains a lot of big word !!
 
Then, on Saturday evening and night, I had a party at home, it's a boyscout party. That makes me sleep very late again, because after the party, I had to do some homework. Last night, I slept at 12.30 again ...
 
I am very tired ....

On Sunday, besides going to the church. At 5.00 pm today, I have to go to the youth group of church to rehearse some activities. Now, I have not studied for a Algebra test tomorrow. I can not manage my time very well due to loads of activities, assignment and test.
 

First of all, I would like to tell you all that I miss you very very much !!

During the second week, I am extremely busy every day.
I have quizzes and tests almost every day which I have never met a load of quizzes like this before.
 
Almost of the subjects have at least a quiz a week !!
 
Now, I can do quite well on Math, English, Marketing, Career Studies.
 
However, on Chemistry, multimedia and US history may pass a lot of time to catch up with the lesson.
 
At the moment, US history may be the most difficult subject. Today, I have a quiz on it. I did not do very well. I afraid whether I am going to fail on this class or not.
Actually, I studied hard and spent a load of time on it. ( last night, I  went to bed very late. Maybe, The latest time in my life. In Thailand, I never spent a lot of time like this before !!. ) However, today when I took the quiz which consists of 15 question, I can not do much !!)
 
I just discovered that the materials on the quiz covered through what I have learned during the first two weeks. However, I just read the material in Chapter 5 ( the matter I learned this week ). as I think that the material in the first week have finished on the quiz on last Friday already . Unfortunately, most of the materials on the quiz are based on last week. Accordingly, I did not do it very well.
 
It's really big deal !!

Talking about my friends at school. I have made a contact with a lot of people, I make friends even I am in a quile line at cafeteria and in the hall way. At this school, we have two lunch times -- A and B.
I have lunch time in A period. However, most of the good friends I know have lunch time in B (a lot, a lot , a lot !!)
As a result, I do not prefer my lunchtime at all !!
 
Actually, I have friends who I have lunch with during these days ( Her name is Anne and Letty). However, I found that I am sometimes bored with them. Letty usually do not understand what I am saying. She always ask me " what? " what? what? at all times. I feel very tired to speak again and again ..... As well, she speaks very fast with accent that I can not get accustomed to, so I often do not make sense what she is refering !!!

Now, I gain a lot of fat !! I have very very big belly on my stomach. My arm and leg are expanding a lot these days. I think I may gain weight at least 2 kilos now !!!
 
I have cheese pizza, chicken and Sprite( drink) as my lunch every day.
At dinner, I also have various kinds of food, such as fist stick with slices of bread, bacon and eggs, and many more which can make you fat easily. Before going to bed, I had a glass of milk with a slice of Whole wheat grain bread as well !
Oh !! One thing, I eat a load of snacks every day when I arrive at home after finishing school. My favourite snacks are Mashmellow, ships, Jelly, Oreo, crackers and many more.
 
My host family treat me very well every day. They bought me lots of school supplies. As well, I have already decided to take a "PSAT" test and Host mom paid the fees for me. They are all very kind !!

This evening, my host family will bring me to an amusement park called " Six-Flags" in Dallas. I can't help feeling excited !!
It would be another valuable experience !!
 
 
To repeat again, I miss and love you all at all times !!!!

On August 27, 2007 is my first day at school.
I left home at 7.30 and arrived at school at 7.45 am
The traffic is pretty busy. Hopefully, my school and home are not far away from each other.
 
During this week, I am extremely busy !! No time doing my normal routines like the first 2 weeks , such as reading Bible, Our daily Bread,and  watching TV ....
 
The first day at school...
It may be the busiest day I have ever had !!
My first lesson begins at 8.00 am
However, I have missed it ( that class is Chemistry) !!
Because I have to pick up my schedule in the morning on that day (27 August) as some of other students at the cafeteria.
I have to stand in line waiting for the schedule over 30 minutes. (it's extremely long line !)
When my queue is coming, the teacher who manages on the schedule said that ...
" I don't have your schedule !"
I made me feel a lot nervous because if student does not have their schedule, it means that you can not study in the classes.
Schedule is like a evidence to make sure that you are a student here !!
 
As a result, I coped with this problem by going to meet my counselor. I have to run from Cafeteria  to Counseling Center in Building B which is very far from each other !!! ) That time is probably about 8.15 am (which I am late for the first lesson now!)
Hopefully, my counselor printed one for me in time ! So, I can go on Second lesson !
 
In American School, students have to walk from class to class. Teacher are just waiting !
My schedule is extremely busy !!
I have the classes which I have to run from a building to another building every hours !! From building A to B and B to A every time each classes are finished !!
 
That made me very tired !!
 
Actually, there is another busy affair !!
I have to change my schedule at the second day!
Because I encounter a very big deal !!
 
These followings are my first registered subjects
1. Algebra 2 (Honors)
2. English 3
3. Multimedia
4. US history
5. Journalism
6. Career Studies
7. Chemistry
 
However, after finishing the first lesson at Algebra 2 honors. I found that it's very difficult. Because I can not understand the materials. I have not seen those specific mathematics words before !!! As a result, the following day, I went to the counseling center and asked my counselor for changing my class.
 
So, now I am taking Algebra 2 - Regular.
However, I am still encountering the problem as well !!
I think that my problems are due to the Math vocabularies that I have never known before.
(The lesson that I am now studying is Data Analysis that I have never learned in Thailand) \
 
As well, I have changed another class...
I changed journalism to
" Sports and entertainment marketing "
Because I think that it will be more  helpful and useful in the
future !!
 
Another big problem is  " each subject's assignments "
I just knew that in English class ( all level), students have to read a memoir as their summer reading. Then they have to writing long essay in the given topic as a written response
However, I just arrived here 3 weeks ago and just knew this assignment on the first day at school.( monday). The due date is Wednesday. The memoir novel that I have to read is
" the Glass Castle" ( it's mandatory).  It contains over 280 pages. !!!
 
Hopefully, my English teacher expanded my reading time as I asked her !
So, the due date is September 10, 2007.
This novel contains lots of hard words. I have to take a lot of time to pass each units. Now, I can read 30 pages from 280 !!!
( I just began it on Monday and read it 30 minutes each day, except for Thursday. !)
 
Today ( Friday), I had 3 quizzes on 3 subjects.
Chemistry, Math and US history.
The first two subjects, I can do quite well.
However, on US history, it's pretty hard. !!!
 
(actually, on Math, I just revised the lesson 15 mins !! this morning 55+)
 
Now,
 
My major problem is on Texas Accent and making friends.
Almost teachers here are Texas people. Accordingly, it's very very very difficult to catch up with the lesson . However, when I study with the teacher who does not have Texas accent, I can understand almost 100 percent !!) ( may be just 3 subject on Career Studies, marketing, English , the teacher speakes pretty clear)
As well, other teachers speak very fast !
Actually, I have already asked them all to speak more slowly !!, but they are still keeping fast pace !!
 
Especially, mutimedia and US history class, I can not catch up with the lesson almost 100 percent.
 
US history class, I have to lecture what teacher is teaching. However, my paper is blank !!! The reason why I can not lecture, except for Texas accent , also the difficult words that teacher uses !!
 
such as nullification, ratification, void, benign and many more !!
 
As the teacher uses those words in her teaching, I can not figure them out and write them down on the paper !!
 
I just knew that she is refering to those words when I asked her for help !!!
 
Today, the US history quiz is based on what teacher is teaching last 2 days ago and students have to write the materials down.
 
So, I do not do well on the quiz. !!
 
Except for the lesson, making friends is pretty hard.
 
Some American teenagers are very rude and mean to Asian person. They love to talk and make a contact just in a group of American. !!
 
However, there are a lot of American which are pretty friendly ( but not fully friendly like Thais ).
 
During this week, I make a contact with a lot of people here,
But sometimes my language is an obstacle to make a contact with them !!
Actually, I love speaking English. However, when I talk with some Americans, they can not make sense what I am mentioning Most of them are always saying " what?" when they can not understand !
I think that I may stress on each words wrongly with Thai accent, so they can not understand me.
 
However, during these days, I have another 2 friends who have lunch together with me. Her name is Letty and Anne. Today, Anne bought me a school wrist band.  However, sometimes I feel that she is a little bit scaring !! She has to take medicines every lunch. If she does not take it, she will be hyper !!
However, she is a warm-hearted and friendly person. She told me not to worry about Texas accent.
 
Now, I am not sure if I should continue making friends with her or not after I knew that she has to take medicines every lunch !!
 
Give me some advice please !!!
 
Actually, during these days I have a lot of fun, except for above problems. I love this school !
 
I think that after my speaking and listenting skill is better, everything would  go smoothly for sure !!!

Hello, you all !!!

 
Now I am placed in Kolle's family.
Host mom and dad are really nice as well as two siblings(younger brother and sister-- Amanda and Taylor.)
 
This is my sixth day in Plano, Texas. I found that I myself still do not get accustomed to American's life. Texas accent is absolutely hard to hear and make a good understanding. I may use a load of time. That is the major problem I encounter every day !!!!
 
My younger brother loves watching cartoons whenever he has got free time, so I have to watch with him. That always makes me bored sometimes, because I can not catch up with the word the character says !!! and it's not suitable for my age at all...
 
Many past exchange students always tell me that Texas accent is really difficult to hear. Of course, they' re correct !!!
How's pity !!! How much time I have to spend to adapt I myself !!!
 
I may have to pass one month or more ....  First, I think that it's easy to adapt myself because I have load of confidence and excitement before I came here.  However, when I arrived in US, it's really different from I thought.

 

Last Sunday, I went to Church at 8.15 am. The church is extremely luxurious and large. However, there are just a few people there. May be about 20 persons .... Of course, I cannot catch up with the word the lector (the person who gives us the sermon) again !!!!  :)

 
Don't worry, I will try hard to adapt I myself and get accustomed to American's life and Texas accent.
 
During these six days, I met a lot of people here. One thing that I learn is that I must made a contact with others first. Then they will talk with us. ( but sometimes when I talked to them, they are not interested in me as they have had their groups of friends already) That is another problems I have to solve soon !!!!
 
My first meal here is Chicken Fried Chicken. It's quite big meal. I left a few of it!!! I ate it at Black-Eyed Peas Restaurant. That is my first restaurant here!!!
 
Another day , I have dinner at Joe's Pizza. It's very delicious, especially loads of cheese. Let's imagine how delicious the pizzas are.!!!
 
That day I went swimming at Texas Pool. It's not quite big. It's really like pool for children, not adult. However, I went there with my two siblings.
 
Last 2 days, I played two sports !!! One of them was Ice-skating. I played it at the Mall with a group of church friends (that I am not close to them). Ice-skating is really hard to learn. I can play it just a little bit!!!! Then, I played tennis at the court which is not far from our home. . 
 
Except for the Texas accent and groups of American teenager here, everything is quite fine. My host mom and dad are really nice, They always take me to eat out at the restaurant.

 

Well, I will try, try and try hard. I will be more open-minded and try much more. ( although I was open-minded a lot during these times.) I have to pass this tough times!!!
